Witric Power - Witricity Explained

I have a wired rock band guitar controller (on 360), so the problem doesn't have to do with the wireless/battery issues. When i tilt the controller to use energy, nothing happens. It seems to randomly go off, and goes off when i hit the "back" button. Is this a faulty controller or am i doing something wrong? I'm use to playing guitar hero on other consoles...
well i just want it to work right, you know? its under warranty. the tutorial says you can tilt the guitar, but nothing happens. Witricity: witric power.
