I'm a teen girl. I'm looking to buy a small laptop just for me for my music and pictures. I'd like it to look good, and last for a long time since this is my first "big" purchase. I'd like cam and voice, which both appearantly have, and would like to buy a mouse and a tablet later on so I can do art. I'm going to say my budget is $500 (CDN) at most.
I'd like the wireless to be stable. Does that depend on the wireless internet I buy, or the computer's capibility?

I was thinking about getting this computer (HP) from Best Buy for college, because it comes with a monitor (24 inch) and is cheap- and I always assumed I'd be able to upgrade it to work for what I need it for personally (outside school). I have installed both Warhammer online and FFXI on my Toshiba Satellite model A305-S6858 which has Vista on it. Warhammer looks fine however FFXI isn't looking correct with mostly the characters and mobs in the game. They flicker and appear to only show some of the colors or all the colors and parts of the character or mob are missing.

I'm not sure what settings I need to change if I can to make this work correctly. I have installed the newest DirectX and video drivers and still not working properly and this is even after I reinstalled the OS. Which I did for other reason.
