I have an antenna (ubiquiti nano station5) connected to my aerial outside my home to receive the internet from my local town as I live under a mountain and am unable to get a phone line.
My electricity went out friday morning for a spilt second, and we couldnt get our internet to come up. We restarted the modem and now the desktop has internet, but my laptop still wont connect to the wireless. i have a linksyswrt160 if that helps. i really dont know what the issue is, but can someone explain some steps that i can follow or something? please? So I have a laptop with windows 7 on it. Every time I put my computer to sleep, it turns off the wireless adapter. I've adjusted every energy saving setting I can find but it still keeps turning off. It will NOT turn off if I just shut it down. It only does it on sleep mode. WTF? Witricity powered: explain witric..
I have Verizon high speed internet. I got it in the middle of July. I was told by Verizon that it was best to keep my router on and plugged in 24/7 until at least a month after I set up the service. Their rationale was that it was to "optimize" and establish my connection.
So our wireless (home) suddenly stopped working, the router's fine but the power supply that turns it on must've overheated or whatever.. so I found this old wire for some laptop or printer (the kind that has 2 pieces with this box thing connecting them with a the green light..) and now its working (obviously lol) buuut the output & input energy things are a bit different:
Original wire:
Input:200-240V
Output: +12V--1.25
New unoriginal wire:
Input: 100-240V
Output: 20V--3.25A
Just wondering, I was just getting a little tired of always plugging in my laptop and all these other appliances. Is it possible to have wireless electricity.... ever?
Because that would be awesome (: Witricity powered: witric power.
I thought I'd use my laptop, which runs on electricity and has a battery to store it, make use of the display which is the result of thousands of different discoveries, make use of wi-fi technology to connect to the wireless router, and through it to a global network of hundreds of millions of computers, to post a message on a database which would be visible to people thousands of miles away, expressing bafflement at their willingness to have faith in science. Hi.
Please I need some help.
I want to know how can I keep an internet wireless connection while my laptop is in sleep mode, or maybe another way to keep only essential hardware functions so I don't loose my connection while I'm playing online games and at the same time saving energy, also preventing overheating my laptop (which is my main concern)
By the way I'm using windows 7 x64.
Thanks in advance.
